If you have a basement, placing the Rescue Retriever at the entrance of your basement or at the beginning of the stair well to the basement will alert that a pet most likely is in that direction.

That's totally up to the pet owner. Just having the Rescue Retriever will alert that a pet is in the home. We suggest multiple Rescue Retrievers if your pets reside in different parts of your home.
The Rescue Retriever will blink when a low battery occurs. The battery can be replaced by removing the back panel. A 9 volt battery is included.
The Rescue Retriever has a 5-year life-span. Included on the back of every Rescue Retriever is an expiration date sticker. Once purchased please fill in the purchase date.
